ZEE TV partners up with YouTube site

ZEE TV has announced a strategic tie-up with the world�۪s largest video portal, the Google-owned, YouTube.

The partnership entails YouTube hosting an official ZEE TV channel at www.youtube.com/zeetv.

The channel features recent webisodes of current ZEE TV serials, shows and programmes including ‘Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo’, ‘Pavitra Rishta’ and ‘Aapki Antara’.

In a statement, the popular network said, “The YouTube platform provides a great opportunity to increase ZEE TV�۪s reach amongst the global audiences, besides serving as a marketing tool to attract audiences to the official ZEE TV site and programme microsites like http://lilchamps2009.com. Another benefit of the ZEE-YouTube alliance is that it allows ZEE, access to the anti-piracy mechanism developed by Google. This tool helps track and remove all ZEE TV content that is illegally uploaded on YouTube, in a more effective manner.”

The partner channel on YouTube has been designed, implemented and updated daily by Digital Media Convergence Limited (DMCL), the internet arm of the Essel Group. DMCL is currently developing partner pages for other ZEE group channels.
