ZEE TV launches ‘Dance India Dance 2’

ZEE TV is welcoming back its much popular dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance’ (DID) for a second season, later this month.

‘Dance India Dance 2’ is being hyped as going a step higher than the first series with “Grand Master” Mithun Chakraborty returning for the new series in his old avatar. Also coming back is Remo Fernandes as part of the judging panel.

He told One India, “This time in DID there will be new contestants, new performances, new ideas; in short everything will be new. As viewers saw and enjoyed season 1, with the same spirit they will definitely enjoy the season 2 as the performances are high leveled then before. If DID was at level 1 then second could be termed as level 2.”

“Contestants are more talented this time and we can do something more innovative and definite with those participants which also allow us to execute our talent through them. The preparations are full on as we are once again hitting back on television and will always try to give something bigger to our viewers,” he adds.

Unlike the first series, the new series of ‘Dance India Dance’ will be produced by Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s company, TRP.

‘Dance India Dance 2’ will reinstate its old slot – weekends at 19:30, starting Saturday 19th December.
