ZEE TV axes ‘Ramayan’ for ‘Buddha’

ZEE TV is winding up classic mythological show ‘Ramayan’ to make way for ‘Buddha’.

The Sagar Arts produced drama launched well but ratings have fallen significantly over the past few months. ‘Buddha’ produced by Spice Telecom and B.K.Modi launches later this month on ZEE TV.

‘Buddha’ is based on the teachings of Gautam Buddha and will tell the story of prince Siddharth and his transition into the Buddha. It stars Kabir Bedi who also has a personal connect with Buddhism. What people are oblivious to is that Bedi’s mother was a nun in Tibet for the last 15 years.

‘Buddha’ launches on Saturday 14th September at 18:30 on ZEE TV UK.
