ZEE TV announces primetime schedule tweak

ZEE TV has announced a slight reshuffle in its primetime schedule in April to accommodate the launch of new show ‘Phir Subha Hogi’.

As announced exclusively onBizAsia.co.ukearlier this week, ‘Phir Subha Hogi’ will be launching on Wednesday 18th April in the UK in the 22:30 slot.

This will result in ‘Punnar Vivah’, which currently sits in the 22:30 weekday slot to move to the 20:00 slot. ‘Ram Milayi Jodi’ will be reaching its natural conclusion at the end of this month.

‘Phir Subha Hogi’ discusses a certain custom wherein daughters born in the family are forced to go through a ritual wherein they get sold to rich Thakurs, who derive pleasure by being with the teenage girls.

ZEE TV UK made a decision to schedule ‘Phir Subha Hogi’ in the late night due to its hard-hitting storyline. ‘Punar Vivah’ has been delivering well for the channel hence the reason for it to move to an earlier timeslot.

The changes come into force on Wednesday 18th April.
