ZEE Network to launch golf channel in India

ZEE Network will be launching its fourth sports channel in India, in August.

The golf channel, will sit under its sports division – Ten Sports. Ten Golf will be available in HD across digital platforms in India.

Ten Golf will be the fourth channel in ZEE Network’s sports bouquet, after Ten Sports, Ten Cricket and Ten Action+.

Speaking about the potential of a niche sports channel in a cricket-dominated India, Zeel chairman Subhash Chandra, told Financial Express, “According to studies, there are half a million golfers in the country and each player attracts four to five people. There is viewership potential in this space.
