ZEE Network to celebrate ’50 Years of Bollywood’

ZEE Network will be running a special show throughout January across its UK channels to celebrate ‘The Glorious 50 Years Of Bollywood’.

The two one-hour episodes will be presented by Bollywood trade journalist, Komal Natha.

The films, which feature in the Top 50 are selected for the impact they have had on the Bollywood industry rather than their box office success.

A source for the show said, “So don’t be surprised if you find a Mother India and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in the same list as a Kaho Na Pyar Hai.”

The show will delve into the background of each film, its stars, music and the impact the film has had on its audiences. Both episodes will feature, renowned writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar, flamboyant producer Bonney Kapoor, the showman Subhash Ghai and realistic film maker Madhur Bhandarkar.

‘The Glorious 50 Years Of Bollywood’ will be shown on ZEE Network at the following times:
