ZEE Network scoops rights for Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ for Rs. 110 crore

ZEE Network has reportedly acquired the rights for Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar’s huge film ‘2.0’ for a whopping Rs. 110 crore.

Reports say that the satellite rights of ‘2.0’ in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu have been purchased by the broadcaster. Creative Head of Lyca Productions, Raju Mahalingam confirmed the developments but did not divulge into the amount that was paid. “It’s TRUE” Lyca Productions’s gets a partner in Zee for our Mega Opus 2.0 Satellite!!!.”

‘2.0’ is one of India’s most expensive films and second costliest in Asia. Its budget is said to be in the region of Rs. 400 crore. The television rights deal with ZEE Network is also said to be one of the biggest in history.

‘2.0’ releases at cinemas on 18th October 2017.
