ZEE Muzic unveils new programme line-up

ZEE Muzic has announced a complete new line-up of shows with more Bollywood content than ever before. The new focus will be on a larger library of full-length film songs, a concept popular on rival channel 9XM.

Furthermore, the new ZEE Muzic will also be re-introducing locally recorded shows and a Bhangra/Urban music strand.

Starting at 06:00 will be ‘Morning Jumpstarts’, a four-hour programme consisting of latest Bollywood songs. Then at 11:00 ZEE Muzic India imports will air for 60-minutes including shows like ‘Cinemascope’ – a movie magazine hosted by Roshni Chopra, gossip magazine show ‘Salt and Pepper’, ‘After Hours’ – taking viewers to extravagant parties being held in Mumbai. ‘What A Life!’ – a show hosted by Aryan Vaid taking viewers to the homes of popular film stars will also form a part of the new line-up. Weekend’s will see ‘Cine Song’ air, based on facts of movie songs.

The highly popular ‘Pure Bollywood’ has been extended and will air daily for six-hours between midday and 18:00.

A new show ‘Different Strokes’, in which Bhangra, Pop and Urban music videos will be shown, will air daily at 18:00.

‘Sunset Tunes’ will broadcast daily between 19:30 and 22:00. A programme compilation of latest Bollywood movie songs.

Every night at 22:00 – ‘Non Stop Hip Shakers’ will air for partygoers.

For retro music fans, ‘Retro Parade’ will be shown at 04:00 for two-hours every morning.

The return of a UK based Bollywood show on ZEE Muzic called ‘Brits Bollywood’ will air Sundays at 19:00 from 7th December. The show is produced by Picturegate Productions. The same team will also take charge of ZEE TV’s free weekly programme highlight show ‘ZEE & U’, which starts today (30th November) at 16:30. The new ‘ZEE & U’ will be presented by Rahim Khan.

Incidentally the changes coincide with ZEE Muzic’s high viewing figures, which were revealed by BARB earlier this week.

The new ZEE Muzic airs from Monday 1st December.
