ZEE Marathi’s ‘Kamali’ debuts with historic event featuring 3,000 school children

ZEE Marathi marked the launch of its new fiction series ‘Kamali’ with a large-scale event in Maharashtra, where over 3,000 school children participated in the collective chanting of the Shivstuti, a devotional hymn dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The event took place on 28th June at Saraswati Mandir Trust Ground and was led by the show’s main character, Kamali.

The coordinated chant has been officially recognised by the World Records Book of India, earning ‘Kamali’ a record for the mass recitation. The event also featured appearances by cast members Vijaya Babar, Ketaki Kulkarni, and Nikhil Damle, who joined the students in the tribute.

The gathering served as a cultural celebration and a symbolic beginning for the series, which aims to highlight themes rooted in heritage and resilience. The achievement was marked by a certificate and medal presented to the team, setting a ceremonial tone for the show’s debut on ZEE Marathi.
