ZEE files counterclaim of $8 million against Star India over ICC rights dispute
ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has filed an $8 million counterclaim against Reliance Industries Limited’s Star India over a dispute related to an International Cricket Council (ICC) contract.
The counterclaim follows Star India’s damages claim of $940 million, which is being arbitrated at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).

Star India alleges that ZEEL failed to pay the initial $203.56 million (approximately Rs. 1,693 crore) and incurred additional obligations amounting to Rs. 17 crore, including bank guarantee commission and deposit interest.
