ZEE confirms partnership for London’s Diwali Festival

ZEE's partnership for London's Diwali Festival

ZEE Network has confirmed it has partnered up with the Mayor of London�۪s Diwali Festival, which takes place in Trafalgar Square on Sunday 27th October.

ZEE�۪s partnership with the Mayor�۪s event, in cooperation with the Diwali in London Committee, marks the fourth consecutive year of a fun-filled collaboration. And this year the network will be upping the grand scale of the entertainment for the audiences to enjoy on the day and also across the ZEE channels.

ZEE will be adding its own brand of glamour to the event with a spectacular performance by the world-famous sitar player and composer Anoushka Shankar. Daughter of the legendary Ravi Shankar, Anoushka Shankar is set to dazzle the crowds on the Square for the first time, performing to her various award winning tunes, as well as to music from her new album, “Traces of You”, which is inspired by her love for her father.

Celebrating UK Asian talent, ZEE will also be bringing the versatile vocalist, songwriter and composer Chirag Rao to the stage, who will be performing to a multiple sub-genres of Hindi music.

The entire event will be hosted by Zing�۪s TV presenter Asad Shan. Other activities on the day include Garba with live band by Bali and Angrez; Soul Sounds; Maharastra Mandal London; Jingles; The Bollywood Co.; Diya Dancers; AK Bollywood Dance; Systematic Chaos; Satish Shah’s Group; Swarahs Fine Arts; Bolly Bros; Taal Torongo; Angel Dances; and Karan Pangali.

It feels really special to me to be connected to Diwali in London especially as I was born here and recently moved back to the city.”

Zee will be filming at the venue on the day and will capture the entertainment and performances giving its viewers an opportunity to watch this culturally extravagant event on ZEE TV�۪s ‘Out And About’ and Zing�۪s ‘Brit�۪s Bollywood’.
