ZEE Cinema gets ready for new look in April

ZEE Cinema UK is set for a new look in April with major tweaks to its schedule, BizAsia.co.uk can reveal.

From Friday 1st April, ZEE Cinema will air eight movies per day, that’s one extra time slot to what the channel currently broadcasts.

ZEE Cinema will broadcast its movies at the following times from April – 02:30, 05:00, 09:00, 12:00 (11:30 depending on preceding movie length), 15:00, 17:00 (17:30 depending on preceding movie length), 20:00 (20:30 depending on preceding movie length) and 23:00 (23:30 depending on preceding movie length).

The channel’s new schedule will be much more flexible than its current fixed movie timings. It will allow ZEE Cinema to air more movies and do away with the filler shows in-between.

Magazine shows like ‘Bollywood Business’ and ‘ZEE Multiplex’ will air in morning slots between 08:00 and 09:00. They are expected to have more prominent times on free-to-air service, Zing.

The channel is also expected to refresh its brand image with a series of new idents. Incidentally, ZEE Cinema celebrates ten years on-air in the UK but is keeping the celebrations low-key. A few days ago, BizAsia.co.uk revealed that ZEE Cinema plans to show ‘Break Ke Baad’ amongst other movie premieres on the channel next month.
