2016 has been an outstanding year for Hindi films and the same reflects in the Viewer’s Choice Nominations list of ZEE Cine Awards 2017. Reprising of the four popular categories ‘Best Film’, ‘Best Actor- Male’, ‘Best Actor- Female’ and ‘Song of the Year’ this year’s list holds a stiff competition amongst the nominees. Voting for Viewers Choice Awards ends at 11:59pm on Tuesday 7th March.
The Best Film category includes movies across the genre that not only has dominated the box office but also received critical acclaim. The nominees in this category ‘Dangal’, ‘Neerja’, ‘Sultan’, ‘Pink’, ‘Rustom’ and ‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’.
The nomination for Best Actor (Male & Female) category applauds the effortless talent showcased this year. The nominees in this categories include Aamir Khan for his immaculate portrayal of Mahavir Singh Phogat in ‘Dangal’, Salman Khan for his inspiring performance in ‘Sultan’, Amitabh Bhachchan for his formidable best in ‘Pink’, Akshay Kumar for his intelligent portrayal in ‘Airlift’, Sushant Singh Rajput for his impeccable portrayal in ‘MS Dhoni- The Untold Story’ and Ranbir Kapoor for his earnest act in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
Among the female leads, the nominees include Sonam Kapoor for her stunning portrayal of Neerja Bhanot in ‘Neerja’, Alia Bhatt scoring two nominations for her breathtaking performances in ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Dear Zindagi’, Anushka Sharma for her encouraging act in ‘Sultan’, Taapsee Pannu for her fearless performance in ‘Pink’ and Fatima Sana Shaikh for her dedicated portrayal in ‘Dangal’.
The Song Of The Year category comprises of chartbusters “Kaala Chashma” from ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, “Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai” from ‘Sultan’, “Kar Gayi Chull” from ‘Kapoor & Sons’, “Breakup Song” and “Channa Mereya” from ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Dangal’ title song.
