ZEE celebrates success of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi

ZEE Network’s first theatrical release Mujhse Shaadi
Karogi has reached No.8 in the UK box office chart on
the first weekend of its release. The film which is
directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sajid
Nadiadwala saw off competition from various other
Hollywood films including Warner Brothers New York
Minute.

The most astonishing fact is that the Mujhse Shaadi
Karogi was shown on just 32 screens throughout the UK
and still managed to make it to the Top Ten .The film
grossed �183,473 in its very first weekend and has
since seen a steady increase. Mujshe Shaadi Karogi is a
sweet and pleasant, light-hearted, romantic film about
two hunks falling in love with the same girl.

“We are delighted with the response our first theatrical
release. Mujhse Shaadi Karogi is the first of the many
releases we have lined up and it was inevitable that has
fared well at the box office” said Pranab Kapadia, Head
of Programming, ZEE Network (UK).

ZEE Network (UK) has already signed a few more films for
distribution before the end of the year with Imtiaz
Ali’s Socha Na Tha slated for a release next.
