ZEE Cafe UK drops ZEE News programmes

Still on a high after its successful broadcast of the ICC Cricket World Cup (Hindi) coverage, ZEE Cafe has now decided to tweak its schedule by scrapping ZEE News shows from its schedule.

With immediate effect, the morning strand between 06:30 and 09:00, which was dedicated to ZEE News shows will be replaced with repeats and re-runs shows from the channel. ZEE Cafe, which is known for sports (cricket and hockey) and regional shows in Bengali and Marathi will drop most of its Hindi-language output with only the odd Hindi ZEE News bulletin be aired in the day.

Two Hindi bulletins will remain on the channel. ZEE Business News at 07:00 and ZEE News (30 minutes) at 17:00. All other news magazine shows and updates have been removed, mainly down to low viewer-interest.
