ZEE Cafe is set for yet another makeover with a complete programming overhaul. Out go the current affairs and sport programming, which dominate the schedule now and in come classic ZEE shows from recent years.

ZEE Cafe UK will be repositioned as a second entertainment channel to flagship, ZEE TV. The channel will focus on re-runs and repeats of old ZEE TV shows. News shows from ZEE News India will be reduced in a huge way and cricket staying for long tournaments and at other times shifted to ZEE Cinema.

Starting from Tuesday 11th September, ZEE Cafe’s primetime schedule will consist of the following:
18:30 News
19:00 Choti Si Zindagi
19:30 Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann
20:00 Jhansi Ki Rani
20:30 Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli
21:00 Ram Milaye Jodi
21:30 Choti Bahu
22:00 Aap Ki Antra
22:30 X Zone

The channel will also broadcast one movie per day at 13:00 and repeated at night at 01:30. Other timebands will be filled with devotional shows between 11:00 and midday with ‘Jai Ganesha’. News bulletins will air at 06:00, 08:00 and 18:30.

To give viewers a taste of the new channel flavour, ZEE Cafe is expected to go free-to-air for a short while on channel 846 on Sky Digital. Incidently, rival Rishtey, which launched earlier this week released its programming schedule, which is filled with repeats of shows from sister channel, Colors.
