ZEE appoints new Head of FTA channels

ZEE Network Europe has announced an internal change in its international team.

Archana Kanade, currently responsible for Zing (UK) and mainstream advertising sales for the network, has been given the additional charge of managing the Free-To-Air (FTA) channels business with the inclusion of ZEE Cafe to her profile.

Last year, ZEE UK repositioned ZEE Cafe as the network’s second entertainment channel by turning free-to-air. It now airs re-run shows previously broadcast on flagship channel, ZEE TV.

Now designated as Business Head ��� FTA Channels, Archana will be reporting to Parul Goel, Deputy Territory Head, ZEE Europe.

Under her helm, Kanade has rocketed Zing’s position as the most watched Asian music channel in the UK. She has also been responsible for the launch of ‘Cloud 9’ – the UK’s first Asian drama shot locally.
