It was no secret that Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan were very good friends, so there was much excitement when they announced theirpartnership into producing films. However after only producing the first film titled ‘Love Breakups Zindagi’ (2011), Khan announced his departure from the company named Born Free Entertainment. News has it, he has now revealed the exact reason as to why he chose to leave it.
Also involved in the business is Mirza’s husband Sahil Singha. Talking to the media, NDTV reportedKhan explaining, “Dia and I started a production house, but at this point of time I have nothing to do with Born Free Entertainment. I have given it to Dia and Sahil.Their ideology of filmmaking is a bit different. I thought we will be friends forever, but if our ideologies are different, why don’t you make your own films and I will make my films. Our plans are different.”
Despite being the son of veteran actor Sanjay Khan, the actor’s own film career hasn’t seen the most success. “If your career is on a low, you don’t get too many films, and then you have to work hard for that. There was a time I didn’t get a single film offer, so I thought I should change myself. In a way, it was a learning experience,” he went onto add.
However, Khan isn’t one to give up and has realised that despite his lows, his hard work is paying off as he expressed “I changed myself. Now people have understood that I am working hard. Everybody wants to be associated with success, but it’s up to you (one’s own self) to achieve that.”
Khan will next been seen sharing the screen space with Ameesha Patel, in her own production ‘Desi Magic’. The film was scheduled to release back in February 2014 however due to complications the film was postponed to release on 10th January 2015.
