‘Zanjeer’ team to seek permission to visit Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt is a part of the forthcoming ‘Zanjeer’ remake and since the actor is currently carrying out a sentence in prison, the male lead of the movie Ram Charan Teja and director Apoorva Lakhia may well be visiting him there. The duo will be seeking special permissions to go and see the actor.

At present, only Dutt’s immediate family is allowed to go and visit him. Anyone outside of his family who want to visit need to appeal to the court. A recent statement issued by the makers of ‘Zanjeer’ has informed of Charan Teja’s and Lakhia’s intentions.

Dutt is in prison having been convicted of the possession of arms in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. ‘Zanjeer’ will see him reenact the role played in the original by the late Pran.

‘Zanjeer’ is slated for release on 6th September.
