Zain Imam opens up about ‘Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna’ shutting down

As revealed earlier on BizAsiaLive.com, Star Plus will be axing its early evening show ‘Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna’ in September due to low ratings.

The show, which stars Zain Imam and Shrenu Parikh, will be bidding adieu to viewers on Friday 13th September. Talking about the end, Imam told Bombay Times, “It’s sad that the show is ending abruptly, as we were raking in decent numbers even at a non-prime slot of 7 pm. I guess people had unrealistic expectations in terms of the ratings, and interference in the storyline didn’t help either.”

He added, “Everyone on the set is sad, as people make plans and investments hoping that a show wouldn’t end that soon. I, too, had made investments and wish the show had run till December at least. However, that’s not in our hands.”

The show went on-air in April 2019 and will be reaching its climax after just five months.

Mythological series ‘Namah’ will be overtaking the vacant slot.
