Previously, BizAsiaLive.com reported that cricketer Yuvraj Singh is due to marry Hazel Keech, and that big day is coming up very soon on 30th November 2016 in Chandigarh. As a result, Singh and his mother, Shabnam Singh visited Delhi to give Prime Minister Modi a personal invitation to the wedding function.
According to Hindustan Times, the cricketer’s mother said, “We have invited Modi Ji for the reception in Delhi. We carried a box of dry fruits and chocolates with the wedding card.” She continued, “The best part was when he told me he’s from Panchkula (in Chandigarh). I’m also from the same place. He was my neighbour, and he said he has lived there for five years. He was very excited to share this with us.”
Singh’s mother went on to comment on what Modi said to the future groom, “He was very happy for my son and asked him about his health and how he was doing now. He expressed his concern when Yuvi was not well and shared how he used to send messages to him through social media.”
Modi also shared the memories of when Singh was presented with the Man of the Match during the 2011 World Cup competition, “They were remembering the time when Modi Ji had given Man of the Match title to Yuvi in Gujarat after 2nd Quarter-Final match between India and Australia in March 2011,” commented the cricketer’s mum.
Apart from Modi, other politicians will also be invited.
