Yuvraj Singh on ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ sets for father

Those who witnessed the moment explained it to be quite extraordinary. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ will see cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father, Yograj, playing the part of Milkha’s coach. In what was a first, Yuvi dropped in on the sets of the film and gave a clap for his father’s shot.

Since Yuvi’s diagnosis of cancer, he has become very close to his father. A friend of the cricketer’s spoke to Times of India, “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag��is the first film featuring his father that Yuvraj made it a point to take interest in. When Yuvraj arrived on location we could see his father was deeply moved.”

Talking about the moment, Mehra confirmed, “Personally it meant a lot to me. My film is an inspiring story of a sports legend. To have a contemporary sports icon’s father in my film and to have the sports icon visiting our set was according to me, a moment of history”.

Yograj Singh is a well-known Hindi-Punjabi actor whose career spans over 30 years. ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ will star Farhan Akhtar as protagonist.
