Yo Yo Honey Singh ceases alcohol consumption

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, who is all set to launch Global Fighting Championship league in India this October, says that he has ceased alcohol consumption.

Responding to the rumours that he sang for free after consuming a few drinks at a night club, Singh said that it was only at the request of his friend and he was not drunk. “I went to that club for the party because it was my friend Imtiaz Khatri’s cousin’s birthday. At the party, she insisted that I sing a song for her birthday. So I did. But not after having drinks, as reported,” he told ZEE News.

“I’d sing for any friend’s happiness. I don’t have to get drunk to do so,” added the singer.

Singh is well trained in martial arts and will be soon seen in the ring.��He reiterates his statement of giving up alcohol to stay fit for the ring fight. “I used to be the occasional social drinker earlier. But now my intake of alcohol has ceased completely. I want to be fighting fit for the boxing ring,” said the 31-year-old.
