Actress Suchitra Sen, 82, was admiited to hospital after complaining of a respiratory infection. Her condition is now stable but still critical.
A medical statement by Bellu Vue Clinic, according to Hindustan Times, said, “Her breathlessness and palpitation have settled. Her vital parameters are satisfactory, she had her breakfast and remains comfortable”. It thought Sen is still under observation.
Sen, it is being said, very much stays around her own apartment and doesn’t venture out too much. Her diabetes and old age are also contributory factors to her ill-health.
Sen’s daughter Moon Moon and her grand-daughters, Raima and Riya, have been her only visitors, as she has requested. Her career started in 1958 and one of the last films she was seen in was 1975’s ‘Aandhi’ which was ever popular with the audiences.
