‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ not replacing Tanmay Rishi Shah

Several TV shows have decided to replace their child and senior actors following the government’s on-set safety regulations which do not allow any cast below 10 years old and senior citizens. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has found an innovative way to keep Kairav, played by Tanmay Rishi Shah, in the show without having him on set.

“Looking at his popularity, channel has decided that Tanmay will not get replaced and will shoot from his place on the phone. He will have all his scenes where he is connecting with his onscreen parents on video calls until he gets permission to shoot on the set full fledged.”, a source told SpotBoyE.

Rishi Shah confirmed the news as well, “Due to lockdown, I have come to my Nani’s place and enjoying the vacations but at the same time I am missing going on the sets and shooting with Shivangi Didi and Mohsin Bhaiya. Now, I will shoot from here on the phone. Today, I also shot with Mohsin Bhaiya on video call. He calls me and I tell him, “Hi papa, how are you?.””

New episodes of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ will begin airing on 13th July on Star Plus and Hotstar.
