‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ set for spin-off show on Star Plus?

Star Plus is reportedly planning a spin-off show for its popular series ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’.

Reports say that the show is expected to go on the floors in March. It will be based around the character of Ishi Maa, played by Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya. It is not known what the show will be called but it is reported that ‘Mohabbatein’ will feature somewhere in the title. While, the show has had its fair share of up and downs in its five-year history, it has on a ratings high recently.

A source revealed to the portal, “Only the high placed officials from the channel and the production house are aware of it.”

This is not the first time a successful daily is getting its own spin-off series. Earlier, ‘Ishqbaaaz’ had a second show titled ‘Dil Boley Oberoi’ and more recently ‘Kunkum Bhagya’ launched its own strand ‘Kundali Bhagya’.
