Yasser to front BBC Radio 1 / 1Xtra show

BBC Asian Network specialist music presenter Yasser has confirmed on his Twitter that he will be fronting his first solo show for BBC Radio 1 and BBC 1 Xtra next week.

He said, “VERY excited to announce, on 30/07/14 I’m hosting my first 2 hour solo radio show on BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra! Woop woop!!”

Yasser started at the BBC Asian Network in 2012 with the station’s Friday night specialist music show. He has since covered for other slots including the BBC Asian Network’s ‘Request Show’, ‘Asian Download Chart Show’ and more recently the flagship ‘Breakfast’ show.
