Yash Raj Films to launch a new director

Aditya Chopra is to launch another director under the Yash Raj Films banner.

According to reports on Box Office India, Gopi Puthran, who helped write ‘Lafangey Parindey’ (2010) and ‘Mardaani’ (2014) has been writing his own script over the years. After finishing the script, Puthran provided a copy to Chopra who apparently loved it. Once hearing the narration Chopra has requested Puthran to direct the script he wrote and will launch Puthran under the home banner.

Yash Raj Films has launched a number of directors over the years including Kunal Kohli, Siddharth Anand, Shaad Ali and Sanjay Gadhvi.
