Yash Raj Films’ ‘Mardaani’ slapped with ‘Adult’ certificate

Over the years, Yash Raj Films has mostly been synonymous with making family entertainers.�� It comes as a surprise then that their upcoming film, ��Mardaani�۪, has been given an ��A�۪ certificate by the Indian censor board, making it a film solely aimed at an adult audience.

���The film deals with child-trafficking and prostitution.�� This is why the film has been issued an A certificate,�۝ a source informed Mid Day.

��Mardaani�۪ has been directed by Pradeep Sarkar, who previously directed ��Parineeta�۪ (2005) for Vidhu Vinod Chopra and ��Laaga Chunari Mein Daag�۪ (2007) for YRF.�� Starring Rani Mukerji in the lead role, the film is set to release on August 22nd.
