Yash Raj Films’ ‘Dhoom 3’ moves from Sony TV to Star TV

It is a well known fact that Yash Raj Films and Sony Pictures Networks have had a close-knit relationship over the past 20+ years. However, things changed last year, when a new deal between the production giant and rival, Star TV was signed, resulting in movies from the Yash Raj Films banner being aired on Star TV.

Up until now, Star TV has only broadcast latest Yash Raj Films including ‘War’ and ‘Mardaani 2’ from the banner. But BizAsiaLive.com can reveal that a number of older films from the huge catalogue are now also moving from Sony TV to Star TV.

Starting with the 2013 blockbuster ‘Dhoom 3’ starring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif being shown on Star Gold India on Friday 2nd July at 20:00 (UK telecast details yet to be announced).

It is believed, other older movies from Yash Raj Films will also be switching over to Star TV but details about this are awaited. BizAsiaLive.com is awaiting a response from Star TV.
