Yami Gautam on working with Big B & Hrithik

After starring alongside super star Hrithik Roshan in ‘Kaabil’ (2017), Yami Gautam is currently working with the legend Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Sarkar 3’, which she is extremely excited about.

Gautam who has landed a fantastic opportunity working with two heavy weights in the industry quite closely together, says that working with big names definitely helps with getting more reach. “Given their popularity, names such as Mr Bachchan and Hrithik have humongous reach and if you get to do a film with such stalwarts, it’s amazing. But, it’s important to know if you have a substantial role as well in the film. As an actor, I want to be as versatile as possible in each film I do.” Said the ‘Badlapur’ (2015) actress in the Hindustan Times.

The ‘Sanam Re’ (2016) star also added, “When you have someone as big as Mr Bachchan, and that too, in a series such as Sarkar, which has already created a niche for itself, the reach, popularity and the connect it has with people will get enhanced.”

However the one thing that Gautam is looking forward to in ‘Sarkar 3’, is that her character will be seen in a negative role, something that she hasn’t done yet and is keen for her fans to see. “I’m excited about playing a negative character. It’s a new area I would be exploring. Doing something unexpected helps, because as an actor, my job is to bring something new to the table for my fans.”
