Yami Gautam has been confirmed as the lead in Behzad Khambata’s upcoming film ‘A Thursday’.
The thriller produced by RSVP and Blue Monkey Films, will see Gautam play a school teacher, who takes 16 toddlers hostage.
She said, “A Thursday is one of those rare scripts that come your way that you just cannot put down. Behzad has written one of the strongest characters for any female protagonist. Naina, who I will be essaying, is both fierce and endearing.”
Gautam collaborates again with Ronnie Screwwavala after the 2019 blockbuster ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. The filmmaker, who helms RSVP said, “Yami is a phenomenal actor and seeing her in a grey avatar will be interesting for the audiences. Behzad has done an outstanding job on the script and I’m backing his vision to bring this to life.”
‘A Thursday’ will release directly on digital in 2021.
