Yami Gautam on her reluctance for ‘Sarkar 3’

Yami Gautam has always been seen in happy and almost glam roles. However, with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sarkar 3’, these tags are set to change. The actress has recently spoken about her initial reluctance in taking up the role.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Gautam said, “I am sure this role will take away all those adjectives that people are so used to associating with me. That’s the whole idea of taking up this role”.

Recalling when she was first approached for the role, Gautam explained, “The moment I was approached, even I had this question, ‘why me?’. The casting director then said that they have all seen me as the pretty and happy-go-lucky girl, so they wanted me to see how it feels to hold a gun and shoot”.

Gautam was recently appreciated for her performance in Sanjay Gupta directed ‘Kaabil’ (2017).
