Writing ‘Wazir’ took 5 years?

Vidhu Vinod Chopra

The filmmaking business, no matter how glamorous it looks, is known to be a tedious one. This is something which Vidhu Vinod Chopra knows too well, with having taken five years to conceptualise his next venture ‘Wazir’.

During the unveiling of the teaser trailer of the film,ZEE News reports Chopra explaining, “We’ve spent 5 years to create the characters of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. I’m extremely greatful to them for bringing these characters to life.”

Co-producing the film with Rajkumar Hirani, as well as co-writing it with Abhijat Joshi, he went into say, “It takes us 4-5 years to make our scripts if you see our films. And that is the reason, our films are of a certain level.”

Also starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Aditi Rao Hyadari, ‘Wazir’ will hit the silver screens later on this year.
