World Kabaddi League 2014 to air on PTC Punjabi

The much talked about World Kabaddi League 2014 is set to get underway this weekend and BizAsia can confirm that PTC Punjabi UK will broadcast the the event live each day.

It is the first Indian sports league with an international footprint and a 5 month long calendar. Played in Circle style, World Kabaddi League will see all the eight teams fight to win. The League will travel across three continents.

PTC Punjabi’s coverage will begin at 12:45 everyday and will end at 16:30. In India, the event will be broadcast on Sony SIX. The first day will see Bollywood�۪s leading superstar Akshay Kumar give a dazzling performance at the O2 in London. Kumar is also the co-owner of Khalsa Warrior.

The venture is headed by Mr.Sukhbir Singh Badal (pictured), Deputy Chief Minister-Punjab and Mr. Pargat Singh, Sports administrator and Ex-Olympian. The league follows the Formula 1 touring sports format and will be played across 4 continents starting from August to December 2014.
