Woman attempts suicide alleging Mika Singh duped her of Rs. 27 lakh

Ahmedabad based event management company owner Priyanka Chaddha is recovering in hospital after attempting suicide alleging singer Mika Singh had duped her of Rs. 27 lakh.

The Indian Express reports that Chaddha took sleeping pills outside of a Gurudwara in Ahmedabad’s Thaltej. She was rushed to Sola Civil Hospital, as according to Vastrapur’s Assistant Sub-Inspector, K.G. Chavda. Chaddha has also said that she has regained consciousness and is stable. Inspector Chavda said,��”Chaddha told us in her statement that she went into depression after losing Rs 27 Lakh and consumed sleeping pills. Her condition is now stable. Since she consumed pills in our jurisdiction, we have taken her statement and registered an NC case. We will take necessary action if needed in this regard.”

It is also��reported that Chaddha had filed a complaint with the Naranpura Police against Singh and his manager Kawaljeet Singh. They allegedly collected Rs 27 Lakh for a March show that would take place in Ahmedabad but had to be reportedly postponed because of the Swine Flu outbreak in the state. With the advance taken from Chaddha, the show took place on Sunday in partnership with Chaddha’s business partner and three others. The business partner, Pravin Patel��allegedly conspired with the three being identified as Pragnesh Mali, Devang Bhatt, and Mayur Udhani, to hold the show, after Chaddha refused a partnership offer from them.
