Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has given a number of stars to Indian film industry. His excellent film-making skills and flawless vision has helped several newcomers to grab a considerable position in the industry. But when it comes to his daughter Alia Bhatt, the filmmaker says that he will never work with her.

Mahesh has always had a tendency to cast newcomers and fresh faces in the industry but he feels that his daughter Alia, who is just four-films-old in Bollywood, is a star and he doesn’t work with stars. “She is a star in her own world, and I don’t work with stars,” the filmmaker told IANS.

Alia, on the other hand, has became a youth icon, thanks to her successful roles so far. Sharing his reaction on her career graph as a father and as a filmmaker, Bhatt said, “She is lucky to get what she wants. She got what we call ‘the misfortune of success’ because I was fortunate enough to be unsuccessful when I started and then I was groomed in the pain. She had the privilege to take a fantastic take-off in the industry and that too with diverse films. But it’s still a beginning,” he said.

During his four active decades in Bollywood, Mahesh has given a number of chances to many actors among which few went on grabbing stardom in the industry in future. One among those superstars is Anupam Kher, who rose to fame after appearing in Bhatt’s flick ‘Saaransh’ (1984).

Mahesh Bhatt’s Vishesh Films banner has launched many stars like Rahul Roy in ‘Aashiqui’ (1990), Sunny Leone in ‘Jism 2’ (2012) and Sarah Loren in ‘Murder 3’ (2013) and many more.
