Why Alia Bhatt cried during workshops for Gauri Shinde’s next

Alia Bhatt has been praised for her performance in her last film ‘Kapoor and Sons’ (2016) and this is no different to any other film for her. However, during workshops for Gauri Shinde’s next it’s emerged that she broke down.

It seems a little out of character but a source told Mid-Day, “Alia is working with Gauri for the first time and was therefore unaware of the way she functions. It is only during the workshop that she realised that Gauri is a taskmaster. There have also been moments when a frustrated Alia cried because she could not get what the director had envisioned”.

Bhatt will be sharing the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in the film. The second schedule for the film will commence in May, as the source added, “During the first schedule too she had to take a lot of effort to ensure that the director is happy with her takes. But, now that she knows her well, she is prepared for the next schedule”.
