When Nick Jonas got emotional watching Priyanka enact ‘The Sky is Pink’ scene

Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’ is due to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) this week. BizAsiaLive.com has learnt that Nick Jonas was in tears when he saw wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas shooting for an emotional scene during the shoot.

Reported on Hindustan Times, the ‘Quantico’ star shared during interviews with EW and People’s Studios at TIFF that it was during the filming of the final scene which got Jonas emotional, “I was filming The Sky Is Pink till four days before my wedding and Nick was on set. We were doing prep for the wedding on set and my co-producers and Shonali, they were so accommodating.”

Bose who was also present added, “The last scene we were shooting before their wedding made Nick emotional. We had told (Nick) to come at the end because we were doing some champagne and cake for them, but he came a little early and we were out in the dark and (Priyanka) was doing a very, very intense scene and I heard a sniff and I suddenly turned and there was Nick standing next to me and he was just crying.” Chopra Jonas then quoted Bose who said at the time “You made your husband cry. This is a great scene.”

‘The Sky Is Pink’ also stars Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. The story is based on real-life events about Wasim’s character Aisha Chaudhary who is a motivational speaker, diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, tells the love story between her parents (played by Chopra Jonas and Akhtar). The film releases in cinemas on 11th October.
