Weight was never an issue for Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi Pednekar has been creating headlines for her incredible weight loss post her debut film earlier this year.�� However, the actress says weight has never been an issue for her and her confidence was always the same.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Pednekar said, “My weight was never an issue, even when I gained it, and even today, when I�۪ve lost it. I�۪ve always been very comfortable with the way I look. I love myself the way I am, so this change is for me, and not for someone else. But, people were stereotyping me earlier. They didn�۪t expect me to change. I wish there were great scripts for similar characters like Sandhya (her debut role), but unfortunately, there aren�۪t. I want to be able to do every kind of film. I don�۪t want to restrict myself to a certain kind of physicality.”

The actress also added that while she has always been a “medium sized girl” and she put on weight for ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ (2015), having become overweight, she is now the thinnest she has ever been.

Pednekar will next be seen in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Manmarziyan’, in which she reunited with her debut film co-star, Ayushmann Khurrana.�� The film, a love story set in Punjab, will see her as the quintessential Bollywood heroine.
