Waheeda Rehman says no to biopic

With biopics being something of a favourite for filmmakers, people are wondering who will be the next veteran to have a film based on their lives. However there are a few that would rather not share their lives on screen.

One such actress is Waheeeda Rehman, who has made it clear that she’d rather not have a film made on her, “I am (over) 75. Now it’s a long journey…it has to be made in four parts. But personally, I am not okay with it,I am not fine with it and there is no reason (for it) as such,” Times of India reported the actress stating.

Having last worked in the films ‘Rang De Basanti’ (2006) and ‘Delhi 6’ (2009), Rehman is happy not being in front of the camera. She goes onto say, “How much to work? We should give a chance to others as well. I don’t miss anything…I am happy with myself. I travel a lot, read a lot, meet my friends, like to cook occasionally. I am satisfied with my life.”

Though her life may not be shared on the big screens, Rehman has shared her personal life in a book titled ‘Conversations with Waheeda Rehman’ written by��Nasreen Munni Kabir, where the actress talks about certain pieces of her life.
