Chinese mobile phone company, VIVO has replaced PepsiCo as the title sponsor for the Indian Premier League, starting from next year.
According to Times Of India, the news was revealed during the BCCI Working Committee today that VIVO will sponsor the tournament for at least two years.
The report adds that VIVO was the front-runner as title sponsor, despite competition from PAYTM. The terms and conditions similar to that of PepsiCo. Meanwhile, BCCI has confirmed that Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will remain suspended for next two series’. It woll float tenders for two news teams to replace the teams from 2016.
PepsiCo pulled out of its sponsorship deal early due to issues that have brought the game into ‘disrepute’.
