Oberoi marks 10 years in B-town

12th April 2012 was indeed a very special day for Vivek Oberoi. It marked 10 years to the day that the actor’s first movie, ‘Company’ (2002),released. Playing a character of negative shades, this star-son took the world of Indian cinema by surprise with what is a much-appreciated performance even today. His character’s name, Chandu, is still associated with him a decade later.

The actor’s official website (www.vivek-oberoi.com)has stated his 10-year career has spanned 23 films in 3 languages and has seen him render a variety of roles. Most known for his villainous roles, Oberoi has given successful performances in comedy (‘Masti’ (2004)) and romance (‘Saathiya’ (2002)). He was also recognised a little more recently for his dramatic side in ‘Kurbaan’ (2009).

As the website’s article also concludes, Oberoi’s 10th anniversary comes at a time when the actor has no less thaneight films at hand, all of which are to be released over a span of two years. This listinclude ‘Krrish 2’ (to be released some time in 2013) and also ‘Zila Ghaziabad’ which co-stars Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt.

BizAsia would like to congratulate the actor on this milestone and wish him all the very best for his upcoming ventures which we are sure many are looking out for.
