Vivek Oberoi ensures dancers’ safety at ‘Make in India’ event
BizAsia reported yesterday about the huge fire that had broken out on stage a ��Make in India�۪ event which was to see performances by so many well-known celebrities. All present were told to evacuate the area and it�۪s emerged that Vivek Oberoi ensured that the dancers were all safe.
Oberoi was in his vanity van preparing for his second on-stage hosting stint of the event when the explosion took place. He said, according to Deccan Chronicle, ���When I stepped out my vanity, I saw everyone running around. How could I just leave the place without ensuring the safety of people, the 100 dancers sitting backstage?�
The actor stopped the dancers from re-entering the tent they were to gather in, ���If the tent had to catch fire, the situation would worsen. I told all of them to not enter the tent as it could dangerous.�
He was full of praise for the police, ���The police officers and fire brigade team ensured they first helped the ladies and the kids to have a safe exit. Even the CM was there till the very end monitoring everything�.
There have been no casualties reported following the incident and a full investigation is underway.
