Vineet Kumar Singh is Anurag Kashyap’s leading man

Anurag Kashyap is known to create hard hitting characters and cast the actors that will bring them to life, and Vineet Kumar Singh is the latest actor to impress Kashyap. Singh, who has worked with Kashyap in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) and ‘Ugly’ (2013) is starring in his ‘Mukkabaaz’.

While Singh has worked in many films over his decade plus career, his talent has spoken through his recent characters. Bollywood Hungama reports an close associate saying, “Roles were still small but then he started getting noticed at least. Films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Bombay Talkies, and Ugly ensured that his graph was moving up. His roles started getting meatier and it was a matter of time before he bagged a major leading role.”

A member of the film crew also revealed, “In Mukkabaaz, Vineet is in fact almost unrecognizable. He surprised us all. Anurag and he worked quite closely to get the characterization and personality complement each other. What you see on the screen is total transformation that Vineet has gone through.”
