It was during this time that Rao became involved in the project, as the filmmaker went on to express, “AK vs SK didn’t work out and one day, Raj called to enquire about Trapped. I asked him if he had dates free the next month, he did and I immediately asked my assistants to scout for locations in Mumbai.”

‘Trapped’ is a film about Rao’s character who gets locked inside his Mumbai apartment for three weeks, where he eventually runs out of food and water. To get into character and look the part, the actor went on a strict diet of just coffee and vegetables. ” I felt bad for him, but as a filmmaker I was happy he was putting so much effort into my film,” Motwane expressed.
