Real-life chef Vikas Khanna has been confirmed as the new face for Season 2 of ‘MasterChef India’.
The show was previously hosted by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar but this time around, channel officials wanted a real chef to front the programme.
A source told TellyChakkar said, “There were initial speculations that Saif Ali Khan would host MasterChef season 2. But the makers wanted to have a real chef in the show this time. Three chefs namely Atul Kocchar, Vineet Bhatia and Vikas Khanna were initially short listed. However, it is Vikas Khanna who has been finally roped in as the host cum judge of the show. Vikas is a highly acclaimed Indian chef, restaurateur, food writer, filmmaker and humanitarian based in New York City.”
‘MasterChef India 2’ will be a bi-weekly, which kicks off on Saturday 15th October up until Christmas.
