Vijay Deverakonda questioned by ED in connection with funding of ‘Liger’

The Enforcement Directorate has questioned actor Vijay Deverakonda in Hyderabad relating to an investigation into the source of funding for his previous film ‘Liger’.

As well as Deverakonda, director of the film Puri Jagannadh and actress and producer Charmme Kaur were also questioned as a part of a probe to see if there was any violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) with regard to payments made to former boxer Mike Tyson, who made a special cameo in the film.

A complaint was made by Congress leader, Bakka Judson who alleged that several politicians had invested corrupt money in the Rs. 125 crore movie.
