Viewers prepare to bid adieu to UK’s No.1 show ‘YHM’ on Star Plus

Undoubtedly the No.1 show in UK ratings over the past few years, viewers are set to bid adieu to ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’, which will air for the final time on Wednesday 18th December 2019.

‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ starring Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, has dominated the share of viewing for the 19:30 slot for the last four weeks on weekdays. When compared to other channels, Star Plus registered a share of 0.4%, while Sony Entertainment Television, Colors and Hum TV delivered a share of 0.1% (Source: BARB/ TechEdge, All Individuals, 28/10/19 – 24/11/19, Cons 19:30 – 19:59).

Delving further into the data, Star Plus has triumphed in the 19:30 – 19:59 slot by an impressive 210% versus the same slot on its nearest rival.

Over the past four weeks (28/10/19 – 24/11/19), Star Plus was 9% stronger than its No.2 rival. In weekdays, Star Plus has been the No.1 channel, 26% stronger than the No.2 rival. During weekday primetime (17:00 – 23:59), Star Plus was 55% stronger than the No.2 rival.

Star Plus is now bracing itself for the launch of ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’s sister show ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’, produced by the same production house, Balaji Telefilms. ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ launches on Thursday 19th December at 19:30 (UK) and 22:30 (India).
