VIEWASIA confirms changes but price unchanged

Multi Screen Media’s VIEWASIA has confirmed that it will be changing its bouquet of channels in June.

As BizAsia exclusively reported weeks ago, Sahara One, SAB TV and Aaj Tak will be leaving the bundle with only five channels forming the new VIEWASIA pack on Sky Digital.

While VIEWASIA loses three channels, the network has decided to keep the monthly subscription fee at 17.99.

In correspondence to existing VIEWASIA customers, the company said, “From 1 June 2012, the VIEWASIA package will consist of your five favourite channels: ARY Digital, B4U Movies, Colors, Sony MAX and Sony TV Asia. We are pleased to say that despite the ever increasing costs in the current economic climate, the price of this new package will not increase and will remain at 17.99 per month. Aaj Tak, SAB TV and Sahara One will no longer be within the package.”

The changes take effect on Friday 1st June.

SAB TV has already become a free-to-air channel on 816. Sahara One will become free on Friday 1st June. Aaj Tak is also expected to go free on the same day.
